Debating the U.S. Role in Iraq: The Clash of the Titans

Primordial giant gods who once ruled the earth until overthrown by Zeus will engage in the third annual Clash of the Titans Debate on Oct. 21, 2005, 3:30pm at the Regent University’s Communication and Performing Arts Center.
Newt Gingrich, Oliver North, Wesley Clark and Paul Begala will take center stage to argue if the Bush strategy is working in Iraq.
“This year’s stellar debate lineup continues the tradition that is making the The Clash of the Titans one of the biggest and best events of its kind in Virginia,” debate organizer Baxter Ennis said. “It is becoming a must-attend event for state and local leaders.”
Arguing in favor of the Bush strategy in Iraq will be Gingrich and North. On the opposing side falls Clark and Begala. Each person has established well-known careers in the military and politics. The moderator will be Anchor Forrest Sawyer of NBC News and MSNBC.
As the American presence in Iraq continues the debate topic is not only timely but also prevalent to this period of history. Americans across the nation are looking for answers to the question. This event is currently sold out.
