"Ghost Whisper"- Not Full of Spirit
Throughout childhood, Melinda Gordon was like any other little girl- except for the fact that she can communicate with the dead. Now, this gift of conversing with spirits has become her destiny.

The cast of this new series “Ghost Whisper,” stars Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Jim Gordon (David Conrad), as Melinda’s husband, and Andrea Moreno (Aisha Tyler), as Melinda’s best friend.

Melinda searches for spirits that are lost and guides them through their journey to the other side. But first she must contact their loved ones to bring closure to the family members of the deceased.

However, as evident as her gift is to the non-living, she tries to hide it by ignoring the dead who plead for her help. Just when Melinda thinks her job is over, she is compelled to help another lost soul.

“Ghost Whisper” is not a jump-out-of-your-seat horror drama, but it will leave you clutching a pillow. The show is mellow with just enough scare tactics to keep viewers in suspense. Although the plot for the show is well-developed, it still piggy-backs off of previous median dramas that have aimed and missed. The only difference about this show is that it features Jennifer Love Hewitt, so it might have a chance of staying on the air.

Those not too fond of spirits and ghosts, probably won’t enjoy watching this drama.

“Ghost Whisper” airs Friday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
